Quality Communications of Virginia, Inc, owned by Kenny Bowman, is a Richmond-based full-service telecommunications company serving the metro area, Charlottesville and Fredericksburg. Look them up online and you’ll discover that the company is known for the exceptional telephone and network installation work they do for small and mid-sized businesses.
So why are we including them in our vendor spotlights? Because they also work exclusively with us to wire the homes we build for phone, Internet and entertainment purposes.
Professional, Office-quality networking in your home
How does a company with 19 years’ experience working with IT companies and the IT departments of large corporations get into wiring homes, as well? Quality Communications installed the telephone and network cabling in our office space. They did an incredible job. So incredible that we asked Kenny to consider sending the same skilled people to wire our new homes that he sends to corporate offices all over central Virginia.
For years, we struggled to find a contractor with a commitment to quality as strong as our own. We found that match in Quality Communications of Virginia. As Kenny puts it,
“Every team member has been trained and certified by the manufacturer. We go way beyond what a normal house wiring company does, we test everything we put in a house before and after installation. If we find a problem at any point, StyleCraft has told us to do whatever we need to do to make it right. Most homebuilders would just tell a contractor to let it ride rather than paying them to go back and fix the issue. But StyleCraft doesn’t do that.”
So what is the advantage of working with Quality Communications?
Simply put, it’s the extra care they put into wiring a home. They use the exact same materials they put into corporate offices and install them with the same expertise. For example, many contractors don’t know (or just don’t care?) that electrical wiring, heating systems and water lines can create interference on your network and slow it down. Quality Communications installers all know this and plan for it by avoiding these potential issues all together.
Additionally, they protect their wiring with nail plates so that you can’t inadvertently sink a screw into it when hanging pictures. Also, if you’re house is built on a crawl space, Kenny’s team will install a 1.5” pipe from the crawl space to the attic on an outside wall. This pipe allows them to come back at any time and very easily add more wiring, should you need it, down the road.
We’re proud of the work that Quality Communications of Virginia does in our homes. Ultimately, it’s all part of our mission to provide our customers with an exceptional buying, building and ownership experience.
