Not only does our St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway home at Cambria Cove now look like a home, but it’s starting to act like a home, too!
It’s only been three months since we broke ground on the 2019 edition of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, and we’re right on schedule. That’s despite everything Old Man Winter is throwing at us — including snow, sleet, rain, and temperatures in the teens one day & back in the ‘60s the next.
Of course, with progress comes even more great news: we’re inching closer to ticket reservation time. Here’s a closer look at all our momentum…
CROSSING ‘DREAM HOME’ MILESTONES
We mentioned that our house was starting to look and feel like a home. Here is where we stand with construction:
- Doors & Windows. Check and check. Our generous and dedicated vendors have braved the elements to bring home our exterior work.
- HVAC & Plumbing: We now have a living, breathing home, as we like to say, where you can dial in the right temperature and give the pipes a test run. Getting over these hurdles are vital steps as we get ready for insulation and drywall installation.
YOUR TICKET TO LIVE UP
Let’s not forget the bigger picture of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway: to build a home at a net-zero cost and raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so that children battling life-threatening disease and their families can receive free treatment, lodging, and more. On that note, your opportunity to reserve tickets for a chance to win our beautiful, four-bedroom home valued at $480,000 — and a host of other high-value prizes — is getting closer and closer. Sign up to receive St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway updates so you don’t miss your window to win. We sold out last year — and our goal is to keep the momentum going by selling out again.
We want to end this update with an appeal to your altruistic side. While we’ve had dozens and dozens of generous vendors, partners, and volunteers get us this far, we need more to get us across the finish line. Please contact Jessica Peace at 804.627.0000 if you’re interested in joining the “Dream Home” movement. Trust us: it feels good to do good.
