We don’t need to tell you that the 2019 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is a massive undertaking. That’s because so many of you were involved in help us raise more than <helmet-script/> million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, whether you were a trade partner who donated materials and sweat equity or one of thousands who punched their ticket with the hope of landing the ‘Dream Home.’That said, we’ve had a little time to sit back and see the big picture of all that the Greater Richmond community accomplished for children battling life-threatening diseases. We wanted to take a moment or two to revisit all the good that came from this collaborative effort — and to share one more “thank you” with all of you.A Record-Setting SelloutTwo years, and two sellouts. When we tell folks to reserve their tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway early, there’s a good reason — both drawings took place with all tickets spoken for. Better yet, the 2019 campaign saw us up the ante of funds raised to over <helmet-script/> million, a solid bump up from 2018’s $860,000 tally — setting up a nice target for next year.A Feel-Good StoryWe experienced a collective warm, fuzzy feeling when NBC12 called the Watkins family during the on-air drawing to share the life-changing news that they held the winning ticket for the “Dream Home.” And that excitement is only equaled by the feeling we get knowing that children across the country and right in our backyard, are getting the treatment they need at no cost to their family.One More Big Thanks…Since we were selected to be the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway builder for Greater Richmond, it seems we’re spending a lot more time thanking people — our valued trade partners, fellow sponsors, our amazing team, volunteers, and Richmonders from all walks. We love it! We’re so fortunate and grateful to have such a caring community that’s come together to make the “Dream Home” happen, two years in a row.
