Rachel has worked as StyleCraft Homes’ Controller for the past two years, leading all financial aspects of the homebuilding division. From leading the purchase of homesites to preparing annual tax filings to collaborating with Sales & Settlements Coordinators, she manages a multitude of critical financial functions.
Rachel relocated to RVA from Scranton, PA — home of “The Office” — and loves being near the water, from the beaches to the riverbanks and docks around the James. She also enjoys running, as well as exploring RVA’s world-famous restaurant and brewery scene. Finally, Rachel is more than a team member; she’s a soon-to-be StyleCraft homeowner, too!

“I relocated from Scranton, Pennsylvania to accept this position. It was a decision that I didn’t make lightly, but one that was easy to make shortly after my first meeting with StyleCraft’s President Richard Kuhn and CFO Marc Mitchell. It was very evident they wanted to ensure that I was a good fit for StyleCraft and StyleCraft was a good fit for me. I was impressed by the company’s commitment to making sure the right people are in the right seat.”

“I can be found most times in my office sitting behind two large monitors with lots of spreadsheets on my screen and a to-do list on the wall! When I’m not in my office I’m usually in meetings here at the office or reviewing and approving closing documents on the second floor. I don’t get out to the into the field often but when I do, I enjoy seeing all of the work done in the office come to life. Lately, I have been in the field more often as I check in on the progress of the home I’m building with StyleCraft.”

We hold ourselves, our teams and our trade partners accountable to schedules, budgets, and timelines, which in turn continually improves our company.Likewise, understand that there are some topics that you’re not the expert in and go ask that person to share their knowledge with you. Being able to ask questions and be open to ideas is key.”
