Meet Rich, Your Quality Assurance

June 27, 2019

“StyleCraft really takes care of their employees — regularly recognizing high performance, organizing fun team-building events, and really investing in the employees. I appreciate the open door policy our leadership team has; regardless of titles, our leadership team is accessible and approachable, and welcomes feedback.”

ABOUT RICH

Quality and safety. In his role, Rich Moham ensures these traits Live Up at three different checkpoints during the homebuilding process — 1) after foundation 2) before drywall and 3) before final home delivery. A seven-year veteran of StyleCraft, Rich is responsible for conducting quality inspections to ensure construction not only meets safety standards, but that the cosmetics are up to StyleCraft’s standards.

When he’s not out in the field working, Rich loves hitting the beach, hiking, and taking in all RVA has to offer with family and friends. He also enjoys coaching his son’s football team and simply spending time at home watching his children enjoy the great outdoors.

DESCRIBE YOUR LIVE UP MOMENT — THE MOMENT YOU KNEW STYLECRAFT WAS RIGHT FOR YOU

“When I discovered that this position required someone that’s detail oriented. While I am reviewing safety standards, I also focus on cosmetic aspects of the home by ensuring the delivered product aligns with StyleCraft standards and values, which is also very important to customers. That’s how I approach this role — as an advocate for the customer with the goal of exceeding their expectations at the final home delivery stage.”

YOU CAN NEVER SHOW UP AT STYLECRAFT WITHOUT…

“Flexibility. As a company, we have experienced a lot of growth, so it’s more important than ever to find ways to be efficient, to prioritize, and to collaborate. Our industry is also evolving — there are new technologies, new building codes, and new home designs — so we want to be sure that we stay up to date with market trends, customer preferences, and safety standards.”

DESCRIBE YOUR TYPICAL DAY

“I am travelling from homesite to homesite 95% of the time. Every day, we have new homes being built all throughout Greater Richmond that are in different phases of the process. I may start out at Greenwich Walk in Midlothian, then head to Saunders Station Townes in Short Pump, then go on to Chickahominy Falls in Ashland — or anywhere in between all day.”

“The homebuilding schedule can be a little unforgiving! When it is time for a pre-drywall inspection — it is time. So I need to be sure to get that inspection done as to not delay the next steps in the building process. Communication with the Project Managers and schedulers is important, as things can change quickly and I need to be able to pivot and react accordingly.”

AND THE HIGHLIGHT IS…

“I really like seeing the progression of the home building process — starting from a pile of dirt, to foundation, studs, drywall and ultimately to a completed product — someone’s brand new home that they are excited about building a life in.”
