St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway: Kicking Off Year #3

January 22, 2020

Here’s the thing we’ve found about being the St. Jude Dream Home Builder for Greater Richmond: each year’s success fuels the next one. In other words, knowing that last year’s Dream Home Giveaway campaign raised more than $1 million for children battling life-threatening diseases gives us ample motivation and energy to lead the charge for the third year running — along with our dedicated partners, sponsors, and volunteers.

And the 2020 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is poised to be an exciting one for several reasons. For starters, we’re bringing the “Dream Home” to Henrico County, specifically, to Short Pump’s Saunders Station Townes.

Here are some more details…

KICKING THINGS OFF

Preparations for this year’s St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway began in early January with the Bricks & Sticks event, an inspirational gathering during which all our passionate trade partners make pledges of the time and materials they’ll donate toward the “Dream Home.” This critical event lays the groundwork for our next milestone: groundbreaking, which is the official onsite kick-off for the 2020 Richmond campaign. And, of course, after the ceremonial shovels dig in, it’s time to get serious. In other words, we then bring the home vertical with framing. Don’t worry, we’ll be sharing plenty of sneak peeks of our progress at Saunders Station Townes right here, as well as on Facebook.

JOINING THE CAUSE

If you want to join this worthy cause by becoming a sponsor or volunteer, fill out this form — which will allow you to join the cause while keeping you in the loop on construction progress, door prize announcements, and more. It feels good to do good — and there’s no bigger need than helping to support the lifesaving work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

But don’t just listen to us, hear how gratifying volunteering time or donating materials can be, directly from James Thomas of Builders First Source — a St. Jude Dream Home Trade Partner. He visited the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital this past September and is committed to making the 2020 campaign a success.
