Meet Amy, The Dream Maker

January 31, 2018

“My favorite quote is, ‘Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion, you must set yourself on fire.’ I would say this perfectly describes our job. We don’t wait for opportunities to come to us, we get to create them.”

About Amy.

Amy joined StyleCraft Homes as a Sales Consultant, and at the time of this interview, had been on the job 90 days. When she’s not helping families find their dream home, she loves spending time with her own family — including her husband and 3-year-old-son — as well as painting murals and repurposing old furniture.

Describe your Live Up moment… the moment you knew StyleCraft was right for you…

“You hear people say that the culture of a company starts from the top down. This could not be truer of StyleCraft. From the moment I met my potential new supervisors I knew that this was the company for me. They were encouraging, uplifting, set clear expectations, and were so unbelievably passionate. I knew after hearing the Director of Sales and Marketing describe why she loved being a part of the company that this was the place for me!”

You can never show up for work at StyleCraft without…

“A positive attitude. This goes a long way and can help brighten a co-worker or client’s day.”

Describe your typical day….

“Our main responsibility is to help make clients’ dreams come true! I find this to be so incredibly exciting. I love that as a Sales Consultant, the process does not stop once the home is sold. We get to own the sale and help our clients all the way through the building process. It is so rewarding to uncover why a client might be in the market for a new home and how that home could help to improve their daily life.”

“We had a family in the Harper’s Mill neighborhood that would come in each Saturday so they could watch the construction of their home. It was amazing to be a part of the entire construction process and watch their dream home come to life along with them. This was such a huge moment for their family and I was able to be a part of that.”

“I love the diversity that this job brings. We aren’t just sitting in a model all day. Some of my day is spent behind a computer, but the majority of my day is spent interacting with clients, walking homesites, touring homes, and getting to work with local Real Estate agents in the area to help drive traffic.”

And the highlight is…

“Working with my co-workers. I love a team environment and getting to celebrate and share in my co-workers’ success. Our culture really promotes this atmosphere. We get to share ideas, learn from each other, and really help each other grow."
